Wick (Oil) Heater
You can probably get rid of the fan by tilting the out pipe up, natural convection. The flame will also crawl up it. If you put your fresh air intake inside the house it will increase it's efficiency and only have to warm the air up a little and you can reduce the number of wicks and fuel consumption. You can get rid of the glass, but it looks nice, and use a dipstick instead of a window on the fuel tank, reducing build costs. You should be able to bring the cost down 75% for the build, and 50% on the wicks and fuel over the long term. Technically, the title of the video is false because you're using electricity for the fan. You can also run some copper tubing inside there and create a water heater for showers and dishes.
If you add a rise to the pipe that lets the hot air into the room, the chimney effect on that pipe would let you run it without the fan.
If you attach a flat plate to the top of the box, you can have a surface that can hold a small kettle to let you make some tea etc.
I would want to be very careful about how the exhaust pipe goes out through the wall. It would be making that bit of wall fairly hot.
A shiny metal surface behind the heater would reflect more heat as infrared into the room.
