Hyperinflation impact on livelihood
Hyperinflation was devastating in my country Venezuela, we venezuelans lived in constant despair. Scarcity and huge prices. Not knowing what you gonna get to eat that day. Our minds were constantly thinking about food and where to get it and making huge lines to get 2 or 3 basic items, even people with money couldn't get the basic items because it was all regulated and hard to find.. I pray and hope the world doesn't have to go through this never
Hi, I'm just wondering what about ordering online? You can't even get anything delivered to you? All of this scares me I live in America and we have been fortunate so far, but the people in power are all Evil!!
that's called black market and yes you could find some of the products online not everything, but at 20X the original price, so the majority of people couldn't access to the black market. And also the salary couldn't keep up with black market prices to reach basics of the month
however the economy now in Venezuela is still hyperinflationary and the currency is totally worthless. So now you go shopping and there's food but priced in dollar, gold or bitcoin and 90% of the people cannot afford that, so they don't have enough food for the month.
