In my experience whenever a company buys another company, the purchasing company simply drops the cost of the purchased company on the backs of the company and its employees and customers. In most cases, the merged company becomes a shitshow. Often the workforce is reduced in size, the employees that keep their jobs are asked to take a cut in pay and benefits. Their customers often pay higher prices for products that are reformulated with ingredients that are lower in quality and quantity. Now extrapolate that to what the Fed has done. Expect to pay tolls at every turn. You won't be able to leave the house without having money to prepay the tolls. Expect to pay a cover charge to go grocery shopping.
